ReadiMask is a distinctive strapless particulate respirator that seals directly to the face using a repositionable hypoallergenic medical adhesive around the full perimeter. Unlike conventional respirators, it uses no ear loops, head straps or metal components. The adhesive perimeter is designed to help maintain a consistent facial seal while allowing comfortable movement, speaking and breathing. ReadiMask states that its filter media provides low breathing resistance and filters particles during both inhalation and exhalation, with NIOSH test results showing an average filtration efficiency of approximately 99.7%. Standards & classification
ReadiMask states that every respirator in its current inventory was manufactured while its NIOSH N95 approval TC-84A-8133 was active and under the materials, manufacturing processes and quality controls required by that approval.
ReadiMask voluntarily withdrew its NIOSH manufacturing approval in March 2025 for business and administrative reasons. The manufacturer states that the withdrawal was not related to a product performance issue or regulatory action.
Because the approval is no longer active, ReadiMask states that current stock cannot be used to satisfy an employer requirement for a currently NIOSH-certified respirator under an OSHA respiratory protection program.
The product continues to be sold by ReadiMask as a Strapless N95 Respirator for personal and voluntary use. HMS presents the certification history as stated by the manufacturer and does not represent current ReadiMask stock as holding an active NIOSH approval.
Fit & sizing guidance
ReadiMask uses an adhesive perimeter seal rather than headbands or ear loops. Correct size selection and careful application are important to achieve an effective seal.
Small/Petite is intended for slimmer faces, many women and most children. ReadiMask lists its dimensions as approximately 6 7/8 inches wide by 5 3/8 inches high.
Large is effectively a Medium/Large size and is intended to fit most average-sized adults. ReadiMask lists its dimensions as approximately 7 7/8 inches wide by 5 7/8 inches high.
Extra Large is intended for people with larger faces.
The skin where the adhesive contacts the face should be clean and free from anything that could interfere with adhesion. Facial hair within the adhesive sealing area can prevent an adequate seal. ReadiMask states that users must be clean shaven wherever the adhesive contacts the skin.
Check the perimeter seal each time the respirator is applied. If the adhesive does not remain fully sealed around the face, reposition or replace the respirator before relying on it for particulate protection.
Directions for use
Read and follow the current ReadiMask application instructions supplied with the product before first use.
Before application, make sure the face is clean and dry and inspect the respirator for damage or contamination.
1. Select the appropriate ReadiMask size.
2. Remove the respirator carefully from its packaging.
3. Position the respirator over the nose and mouth according to the manufacturer fitting instructions.
4. Apply the adhesive perimeter progressively to clean skin around the face.
5. Smooth the adhesive around the entire perimeter so that there are no visible gaps or lifted areas.
6. Check the complete perimeter seal before entering an area where respiratory protection is required.
7. If leakage or lifting is detected, carefully reposition the adhesive where possible or use a new respirator.
8. Replace the respirator if the seal becomes compromised, the mask becomes damaged or contaminated, or breathing becomes difficult.
Because ReadiMask relies on direct skin adhesion, correct application differs from conventional headband or ear-loop respirators. Always follow the current manufacturer instructions supplied with the product.
Warnings & use limitations

Storage
Store unused ReadiMask respirators in their original protective packaging in a clean, dry environment away from contamination, excessive heat, moisture and physical damage. ReadiMask states that its respirators are warranted for a three-year shelf life. Check any expiry, lot or storage information on the supplied packaging before use. Protect the adhesive surfaces from dust, oils or other contamination that could reduce adhesion.
